Varun Hiremath Brings Financial Literacy to India: Mastering Money for Everyone
Varun Hiremath, CEO of Fair Deal Wealth Advisors, Brings Financial Literacy to the Community
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 22: On August 22, the CEO of Fair Deal Wealth Advisors, Varun Hiremath , hosted a seminar on “Mastering Your Money: Financial Literacy for Everyone” in Mumbai. The goal here was to give insights on improving personal finance.
During a seminar, Varun had told us how we can manage our personal finances so it might help us in future. He gave information on issues such as budgeting, saving, investing, and debt management.
Varun reckons that to achieve financial freedom, the first thing that we require to comprehend is what we want and what we need. Based on this we can have the impression of how we will be spending our money.
Hiremath also added that if we want a secure financial future ahead, we need to start saving and investing as early as possible. If we are beginners, then we should start by investing small amounts on mutual funds.
Also he said when handling debt one must first know the difference between the good debts like home loans, and the bad debts like credit cards with balances with higher interest.
The lecture was not only very interesting but the seminar was also a lecture. It included question, sharing, and ideas exchange. This exposed the participants well to the learning. Moreover, the idea of financial literacy made the parents advise their children how to manage money at a tender age.
In India, only 27% of the population is financially literate, according to the National Center for Financial Education (NCFE). Also, according to a study by the Financial Literacy and Education Commission (FLEC), financial knowledge should be imparted to encourage saving and managing debt. This shows that initiatives must be taken to ensure the same.
Further, there was a Q&A session at the end, in which Hiremath gave answers to the questions relating to topics like retirement planning, strategies to deal with inflation. In the end, Hiremath said that financial literacy is not only about making money, but taking charge of your finances for a better future for you and your loved ones.
